Performance car driver training and driver development

Learn to explore the limits of your road or rally car under expert instruction from Richard Clews, multiple National Asphalt Rally Championship Class Winner (7 years). It doesn't matter if you drive a Fiat Panda, a Porsche GT3 or are currently rallying, Clews Training will teach you to drive quickly but safely on one of the most challenging test tracks in the UK. Richard will explain vehicle dynamics, the correct use of brakes and steering, throttle input and lots more! Most rally drivers will spend thousands on engines and suspension, but few will look seriously into driver development.

The Prodrive facility has a 2.6 mile high performance circuit and a 1 mile tight and twisty tarmac rally stage with some adverse cambers strategically placed to help unsettle a car. The lower speeds of this circuit help demonstrate how to set a car up for slow corners and how to use the brakes to help steer a car. The circuit also has a multi low friction skid area fully wetted to simulate extreme winter driving conditions, you will learn how to slide and control a car as if on sheet ice. It's fantastic fun, low speed and doesn't damage your car while you develop your driving skills.
